CORDIS Translation Services Contract Awarded to Intertranslations

We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded a contract to provide translation services for the Community Research and Development Information Service (CORDIS). As the European Commission’s primary information source on projects funded by the EU’s Framework Programmes for Research and Innovation, CORDIS houses a valuable public repository containing details on project factsheets, participants, publishable reports and deliverables, links to open-access publications and more.

They also produce their own range of publications and articles to make it easier for users to find relevant results that they can use in their domain. Print editions of these documents are in English, while digital versions are also available in French, German, Italian, Polish and Spanish.

Intertranslations will provide translation services across these languages and occasionally into others. The contract, managed by the Publications Office of the European Union, will run for five years. During this time, we are committed to delivering high-quality language services.

This exciting contract was awarded following a competitive public tendering procedure, which attracted 9 bidders in total. Each applicant was vying for the opportunity to support CORDIS in its mission to make research results readily available to more professionals in the field, stimulating scientific growth across Europe and driving scientific innovation for products and services. Intertranslations was selected as the preferred bidder based on our strong technological know-how, high linguistic expertise and project management capabilities.

Alexander Arvanitis, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, expressed his enthusiasm for the contract and the opportunity to collaborate with the Publications Office: We are proud to have secured the CORDIS contract and look forward to leveraging our expertise and linguistic proficiency to contribute to their work and in the field of innovation, research and development. Our dedicated team of linguists, subject-matter experts and project managers is poised to ensure high-quality and accurate translations for the project.”
